Michael (Mick) Robbie

Michael (Mick) Robbie

Director

Mick has over 40 years’ experience in the industry and has a QBCC Open Builders Licence. He is well known for building many of the multi-story high-rise developments on the Sunshine Coast. With an ethos of “everything we do must be to the benefit of our clients”, Mick is the driving force behind our success.

His passion and pride is present in every project completed by NCM. It’s partly thanks to his hands-on approach that we engender such respect within the industry.

Kate Marshall

General Manager

Kate is a founding member of NCM with more than 14 years’ experience in the construction industry. She is responsible for a variety of reports, from performance indicators to people management and communications. Her attention to detail and diligent skills are invaluable to our management team.

As well as facilitating the development and growth of NCM, Kate provides an overview of the company’s projects and maintains our vision for success.

John Law

Design Manager
John Law

Design Manager

John is an integral member of the NCM team and has over 25 years’ experience in managing a wide range of construction projects.

His portfolio includes design and construction for a variety of office and retail fit-outs. This includes large commercial warehouses and residential apartments, as well as nursing homes and multi-level office buildings. John not only meets, but exceeds our project client’s expectations, delivering outcomes that are outstanding.

Business Development Manager

Michael is a licensed builder and has held a QBCC Open Builders Licence since 2003. During his career, Michael has had many senior management positions within well-known building organizations, achieving a high level of expertise and knowledge.

His portfolio includes mixed use high-rise residential buildings, commercial office high-rise complexes, community facilities (shopping centres and bulk goods retail centres), and educational facilities (universities, public and private primary and secondary schools).

Alexander Hansen

Construction Manager

Alex has been in construction for over 20 years and is a disciplined, process-oriented leader and manager, drawing from his time as an officer in the Australian Army Reserve.

His portfolio includes multi-unit residential developments, aged care villages, industrial facilities, mixed use CBD developments, and various other commercial projects. Alex oversees all NCM construction projects and ensures they are delivered on time and to our usual high standard of workmanship.

Estimator

Mike heads our Estimating Department. He has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry and has worked in both professional practise and with Building Contractors.

His experience is vast, covering all aspects of building and construction. Mike prides himself on his attention to detail and his ability to value manage every project for our numerous clients.

Michael McManus

Michael McManus

Company Accountant

Mike has over 10 years’ experience as a Certified Practicing Accountant. He has worked in both public practice and commercial roles, with a significant amount of time spent in the construction and manufacturing industry.

He was formally the CFO for Kima Capital, a pan-Asia hedge fund that invested in pre-IPO and small cap companies in Australia and Asia. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and is an associate member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Alastair Sutherland

Project Manager

Alastair comes to us with an electrical trade background, having previously managed businesses in Sydney. His experience includes commercial fit-outs, aged care facilities, multi-unit complexes, and mixed-use commercial projects.

Alastair is an experienced Project Manager with a background in business management. He is highly organised, a very good communicator and takes pride in his attention to detail. Our clients enjoy working with Alastair as he always goes above and beyond to provide value and service.

James Haddrell

Site Manager

James has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, spanning from carpentry and cabinetwork through to site managing multi-million-dollar projects. Having worked across Australia and internationally, James brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company and has earnt the respect of both his peers and sub-contractors in the industry.

A team player, James’ strengths lay in his ability to relate to and deal with subcontractors as his extensive technical knowledge and skill.

Martin Smiths

Contracts Administrator

Martin's experience in construction is diverse, having worked in numerous roles for builders and sub-contractors within the industry. His degree in construction management has given him a broad knowledge of industry standards and codes, and a commitment to scrutinizing project designs to identify any design or compliance issues before they arise on site.

Martin is responsible for the procurement of all trades and materials, managing budgets to minimise cost over-runs whilst never sacrificing on quality. He also administers project hand-overs to our clients, ensuring this process is smooth and streamlined, and always on time.

Scott Wilson

Scott has fulfilled roles as a contracts administrator, project manager, business analyst and programmer in construction and mining industry. He is a highly motivated, disciplined and skilled person, and he has a naturally high attention to detail. Scott prides himself on his effective communication, and his logical and systemised approach to problem solving.

Scott started with NCM in 2016 and currently looks after the project management of our refurbishments division. Scott is responsible for of all aspects of refurbishment projects from initial scoping through to final handover and enjoys achieving the best outcome for our clients.

Wayne Robbie

Safety Manager

Wayne has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. He has come from a carpentry and joinery background and has worked as a Site Manager with NCM on some of our high-profile high-rise construction projects.

Wayne is passionate about health and safety and prides himself on being a leader in WH&S management within the industry. Wayne’s strong relationships with WH&S authorities allow him to efficiently and effectively to execute his responsibilities as a part of the NCM team.
